My stay at Hotel Nina was a mix of good and bad. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Dakar, making it easy to explore the city. However, I faced some issues with the amenities and service, which felt more like a budget offer than the four-star experience I was expecting.

Rooms
6.0
I had a Standard Double room that was clean and proper, but felt it lacked some essentials like extra towels without asking multiple times.
Service
7.0
The staff were really friendly and kind, which made a big difference to my overall experience, even if the service could be improved.
Location
9.0
Definitely a highlight! The hotel is super close to the Independent Square and the beach areas, making it easy to enjoy the New Year festival fireworks.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a letdown for me—very poor quality. I didn't even bother to have it after the first day.
Facilities
6.0
WiFi was pretty dismal most of the time, and I did encounter a problem with hot water during my stay. Still, the air conditioning worked well, which was a relief.

7.2/10

I spent four nights at Hotel Nina and had an overall decent experience, but there were some notable hiccups. The location is great, just a short walk from Independence Square, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. However, I did encounter some inconsistencies with room quality and service during my stay. 💼🍳

Rooms
6.0
I started in a small, dark room that was noisy and did not meet my expectations. After voicing my concerns, I was moved to a much brighter and comfortable room with good storage and a nice shower.
Service
5.0
While most of the staff were friendly, I did experience slow service during some meals. There were also issues with laundry where my socks were given to another guest, and I'm still waiting for my pyjamas.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is a definite plus, being in the center of the city and close to the market and the ferry to Goree Island.
Dining
6.5
Breakfast featured nice fruit salad and eggs, though the bread and croissants were not impressive. The Bissap drink was a highlight!
Facilities
6.0
Wi-Fi was generally good, but there were maintenance issues in my first room that needed addressing.

I stayed at Hotel Nina for three nights, and it definitely had its ups and downs. The location was perfect for exploring Dakar, and my second room was clean and comfortable. However, the initial room left a lot to be desired, and the breakfast was pretty disappointing.

Rooms
7.0
The first room I got had an old carpet, a smelly aircon, and was generally dark and noisy. Thankfully, I moved to a much nicer room on the first floor that was clean and comfortable.
Service
5.0
While some staff members were friendly, I did encounter issues. At one point, they tried to overcharge me for a dinner I didn't have, which took way too long to sort out.
Location
8.0
The hotel is perfectly located near Independence Square and other good restaurants within walking distance, which made exploring the area super easy.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a letdown with smaller bread and slow service. I did enjoy the fruit salad and eggs, but overall, my experience was pretty mediocre.
Facilities
6.0
The Wi-Fi worked well, and I appreciated having good storage in my second room. But overall, the facilities could use some updating.

6.2/10

I recently spent three nights at Hotel Nina in Dakar, and while the location was fantastic with great restaurants within walking distance, there were several issues during my stay. The room itself felt rather outdated and lacked cleanliness, and I was quite disappointed with the shower that didn't function properly. The staff did their best, but I felt the overall experience wasn't on par with what I expected from a 4-star hotel.

Rooms
5.0
The room was old and not well-maintained, with cleanliness issues and a malfunctioning shower.
Service
5.0
The staff members were generally helpful, but the check-in experience was frustrating.
Location
8.0
I loved the central location, close to the Goree Island ferry and local markets.
Dining
5.0
There are good restaurants nearby, but no dining options at the hotel itself.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities seemed lacking; Wi-Fi was inconsistent, and the room had only one towel.

My stay at Hotel Nina was a mixed bag. The location is excellent, right in the downtown area and close to the ferry for Goree Island, which I appreciated (it made exploring so easy!). However, I had several issues with my room, including a cold shower and a lack of basic amenities. Overall, I think the hotel has potential, but there are definitely areas that need improvement.

Rooms
5.0
My room had several issues, including a broken toilet door and poor lighting. I did mention these problems but felt they weren't addressed effectively.
Service
5.0
Some staff members were friendly, but I did encounter a few who seemed unfriendly and unhelpful, especially during checkout when there was confusion with the billing.
Location
9.0
The location is one of the hotel's best features, being centrally situated near the market and other attractions, making it great for sightseeing.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was enjoyable, particularly the pain au chocolat, which was delicious. However, I wish there were more options available.
Facilities
5.0
The air conditioning worked well, which was a relief in the Dakar heat, but other facilities, like the shower, were not functional.
